Job Title: Mobile Ultrasound Sonographer (Peoria, IL)
Location: Peoria, IL (Travel Required within the region)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mobile Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasounds in various nursing homes, home care facilities, prisons, and processing sites across the region. This position requires independent travel, the ability to perform high-quality sonographic exams, and strong communication with clients and staff. A valid driver's license, ARDMS or CCI registration for vascular ultrasound, and the ability to work autonomously are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Self-Dispatching & Reporting: Log in for self-dispatching or call dispatch department for case load updates.
- Patient Interaction: Verify patient identity with two identifiers (name and DOB) before performing exams. Confirm physician's orders against the patient's chart.
- Perform Ultrasounds: Conduct diagnostic ultrasounds using portable sonographic equipment and digitally send results to a radiologist for interpretation.
- Documentation & Communication: Ensure all paperwork, including billing and exam-related documentation, is completed daily. Respond to voicemails from facilities promptly and check for additional cases.
- Patient & Facility Interaction: Maintain a professional and ethical demeanor when interacting with facility staff and patients. Ensure all orders are accurate before proceeding with exams.
- Travel & Equipment Maintenance: Travel to different facilities in the region, carrying, setting up, and maintaining sonographic equipment in excellent condition.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to infection control protocols, maintain physical exams, TB screening, and other health-related requirements as specified.
- Professional Development: Continue to enhance knowledge and expertise in ultrasound technology, disease, and new procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program.
- Certifications: ARDMS or CCI certification in General and Vascular Ultrasound required.
- Experience: Prior experience performing ultrasound exams is preferred.
- Licenses: Valid driver’s license required with a clean driving record. Ability to provide a copy of the license upon request.
- Health & Safety: Must pass a drug screening, background check, and maintain annual medical exams and TB screening.
- Vaccination Requirement: COVID-19 vaccination required, unless requesting an exemption with proper documentation.
- Other Skills: Basic computer skills (email, printing, scanning) and smartphone proficiency required.
