Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Sonographer to join our growing medical team. The Sonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to create images of patients' internal organs. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of ultrasound technology and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients to create detailed images of internal organs
- Ensure equipment is properly calibrated and maintained
- Communicate with patients to explain procedures and alleviate any concerns
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to analyze and interpret imaging results
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Stay current on developments in ultrasound technology and attend training as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- ARDMS certification
- State licensure as a Sonographer
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
