The role of a dispatcher is vital to Mobile Hydraulics as it assists in providing the main service we offer to our customers. It will require you to be diligent and self-sufficient while maintaining your fleet’s schedule. As a dispatcher, you will receive and evaluate emergency and non-emergency calls, and prioritize calls based on importance. Dispatching the appropriate team members or personnel to the scene based on skill level and area.

Dispatchers monitor driver locations using GPS devices and computer programs. They also monitor weather reports and may notify authorities if necessary. Scheduling drivers and routes that best serve the customer while communicating with customers, sales, operations, and technicians. They may update customers or advise drivers about upcoming issues. It is the expectation of this role that you keep records, maintain records for emergency disaster plans, prepare reports, and address problems, and may appear in court as a witness with your fleet manager.

• Communicate proper information to technicians using a dispatching service.
• Monitor driver locations using GPS devices and computer programs
• Update customers or advise drivers about upcoming issues

• Guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Answer phone calls and emails during regular business hours.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dispatching or logistics management.
• Strong understanding of transportation management systems and fleet operations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions quickly.
• Familiarity with GPS technology and routing software is a plus.
