Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager who has comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software systems, network connections & servers. Who has experience managing custom build software applications and/or tools in monitoring the health of Hardware systems, capacity management, OS management, patch management for large enterprises.
Duties included:
· Confer with system / product stakeholders to gather and write system / product requirements, document requirements, and keep them up to date.
· Participate in design meetings with engineering team to create project plans and ensure proper translation of requirements into software development stories.
· Maintain project timeline and manage development progress.
· Manage firmware / software development tasks, using agile / scrum methodology, keeping all tasks and work items current in Jira.
· Create cards / stories in Jira describing development tasks / bug fixes.
· Ensure deadlines and cost targets are met.
· Manage risks and mitigation plan for all aspects of the project. Keep management informed of any critical risks to timeline, cost, staff, technical or other risks.
· Liaison with cross functional departments and project team(s) to ensure external dependencies don’t delay engineering projects.
· Assign, direct and evaluate tasks to team members.
· Track and report project KPIs to Engineering Manager and / or customer stakeholder
Drive customer meetings (like daily / weekly / monthly & Quarterly meetings) with appropriate customer stakeholders.
· Recommend upgrades and new systems that will be more useful for the project
· Always keep a check on the budget and ensure that budget limits are not breached
· Supervising IT staff, consultants, vendors and suppliers
· Making sure that the infrastructure development project is completed within the given time frame
Required Skills
· Excellent knowledge about all aspects of information technology specifically with complex infrastructure environments
· Expert hands-on knowledge of building a critical path and understanding the right questions to ask
· Command of the Schedule, Scope, Budget, Quality and Benefits always in the life cycle of the project
· Excellent analytical and observation skills
· Good communication and negotiation skills
· Excellent planning and organization ability
· Excellent time management skills and understanding the value of a baseline
· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
· Excellent management and leadership qualities
· This is not a technical hands-on role. However, prior experience is required to develop a detailed work plan to ensure our success.
· Experience managing onsite / offshore development team(s).
Required Qualification
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science and information technology along with 15 years of experience are considered for the job
