Mobile Staff Solutions is seeking a skilled Rotating Equipment Foreman in the Tampa area!
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Foreman is responsible for shop work flow overseeing mechanical and machining capacity. He or she oversees the disassembly and inspection of pumps and gearboxes. Develops a visual and dimensional inspection report and a material required list for overhauls. He or she verifies what drawings need to be supplied to the machinist for reverse engineering. The foreman is continuously optimizing program and part-to-part cycle times, setup and run of first articles, ensuring correct tooling for the job is being utilized, ensuring machines are working properly, determining causes of operating errors and deciding which action to take.
Upon completion of machining all required parts, he or she oversees the final assembly and report. The foreman must be versed in alignment and predictive maintenance practices for troubleshooting rotating equipment in the field. In addition, he or she provides assistance to the Q.A., Production, and Manufacturing Managers to ensure schedules are updated, deadlines are met, and quality and safety standards are adhered to.

3. Ensures Lathe, Mill, and Saw Operators are following all QMS requirements, placing emphasis on traceability, 100% inspection & documentation, and prevention/detection.
4. Observes Lathe, Mill, and Saw Operators machining and inspection methods/ techniques and provides instruction on proper use when necessary.
5. Confers with the Programmer, Manufacturing Manager, and/or Production Manager in determining the kind of tooling and equipment needed to do a job
6. Ensures required tooling and equipment is available and in working order prior to starting set-up operations on the “next” job.
7. Manages the time and job duties of Mill, Lathe, and Saw operators.
8. Fits and assembles parts to make or repair machine tools.
9. Evaluates experimental procedures and recommends changes or modifications for improved efficiency and adaptability to set-up and production.
10. Performs set-up and operation of metalworking and cutting equipment.
11. Effectively communicates with management, providing updates on run times, scheduling, and all machine related activities.
12. Inspects equipment, structures, tooling, fixtures, processes, and material to determine the cause of errors or other problems and defects.
13. Updates Lathe, Mill, and Saw operators with relevant knowledge and/or changes to orders, procedures, or requirements.
14. Sets up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting chucks, magnets, vices, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, stock pushers; indicating vices and tramming heads.
15. Verifies settings
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Formal training in programming and operating CNC machines preferred.
3. Minimum 5 year experience operating CNC machines preferred.
4. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
5. Manual and CNC machining experience.
6. Capable of holding close tolerances.
7. Can use and understand inspection tools and interpret blueprints.
8. Able to train and manage multi-shift team members.
9. Ability and desire to work overtime and weekends as required.

Salary : $80,000 - $125,000
