What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at MobilityWorks and Driverge?

The Human Resources Generalist will provide onsite support to company team members including policy/procedure enforcement,  payroll, benefits, recruiting, safety and all human resource functions. 


Essential Job Functions and Duties:


Employment Lifecycle Management

  • Processes all new hire, position change and terminations for Driverge’s team members.
  • Responsible for auditing new-hire paperwork, personnel file maintenance and audit ready completeness of all files.
  • Prepare and facilitate new-hire orientations.
  • Be first line of communication for employee needs and questions.
  • Support HR department in enforcing policy, procedure, and programs to help improve team member engagement and enculturation.
  • Update LOVE IT portal with new hire announcements, company and team member updates.
  • Work with the Director of HR to help facilitate Acquisitions and create a seamless on-boarding and transition to Driverge.
  • Partners with operational leaders to ensure all performance reviews (2 & 4 week, 90 day and annual) are completed timely and consistently between locations.
  • Oversee performance management and counseling processes to ensure.
  • Partner with the HR Director on employee relations matters.
  • Act as corporate steward to promote core value, target culture, in effort to drive team member engagement.

 

Talent Acquisition Management

  • Work with hiring managers to determine recruiting needs and transition to Talent Acquisition.
  • Facilitate new position profiles and wages for postings.
  • Utilize HR Bamboo to draft positions and enter referrals for hire.

 

Employment Compliance

  • Responsible for submitting monthly updates to motor vehicle insurance.
  • Responsible for monthly and quarterly audit of Backgrounds Check, MVR's, I-9s, Licenses, location listings & HR processes.
  • Ensure and monitor compliance with Federal and State Regulations concerning employment laws (Anti-discrimination/EEOC/AAP/ADA/FMLA, etc.).
  • Provide all compliance trainings to new managers quarterly.
  • Distributes and follows-up on all Drug Screening.


Payroll (ADP) and HRIS (HR Bamboo) System Management

  • Prepare and input all permanent changes in ADP and HR Bamboo.
  • Audit reports and payroll previews as appropriate to ensure accuracy of payment of wages.
  • Complete all quarterly audits for HRIS system and team member files.
  • Generate reports from the HRIS system as requested for projects.

 

Benefit Management

  • Accurately describe benefit packages to plan participants and answer questions on plan usage.
  • Participate in all Open enrollment/Compliance activities.
  • Continually promote health and wellness through wellness program initiatives.


Safety Management

  • Partner with the Director of Safety and Risk on:
    • All safety communication and training initiatives while keeping a safety mindset.
    • Worker’s Comp Claims and timely documentation.
    • Initiate Injured worker medical treatment/post-accident drug screen process.
    • Adhere to all safety regulations
  • Ad Hoc Projects as assigned.
  • Comply with WMK’s Core Values at all times (LOVE IT).
  • Complete other duties as assigned.


Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements:


  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in HR or Business Administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Human Resource Coordinator or similar position.
  • Experience with ADP payroll systems and time/labor systems is a plus.
  • Must have demonstrable competency with computers (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience is required.
  • Solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently is required.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment criminal and motor vehicle background check.
