MOBIS Technical Center of North America is the Research & Development Center for Hyundai MOBIS, a Tier 1 supplier and an affiliate under Hyundai Motor Group. Description

Mobis North America, a world leader in automotive innovations is looking for a Quality Engineer to join its growing team at its warehouse in Novi, MI. The Quality Engineer is responsible for interfacing with the customer and performing initial root cause analysis of issues within the warehouse.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities :

• Respond to customers about Quality issues.
• Maintain customer Quality score management and response.
• Create meeting materials for Customer and lead internal meetings.
• Conduct initial analysis of customer Quality suspect parts (INLINE / FIELD).
• Lead / support deep analysis with related teams (Plant, Engineering & HQ).
• Provide Quality case management (internal / external systems).
• Return material & cost handling, if it's related Quality.
• Initiate and manage Quality inspection activity if needed.
• Participate new program development, as a local quality engineer.
• Respond to customers regarding Q issue & Cowork with HQ / MMX and other plants.
• Maintain Green scorecards to all related OEM's.
• Create / Maintain professional relationship with Customer.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

Position requires occasional or frequent moderate physical activity.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK :

A typical work week is 40 hours / week.

Overtime will be compensated at 1.5x normal pay.

Working hours for hourly internship employees are flexible with a typical day starting 7am- 9am M-F.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Office work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.

Shop or laboratory work involves some exposure to moderate risk of accident and requires following basic safety precautions.

In-field, PG, or track testing involves frequent exposure to unpleasant elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, loud noises, chemicals, etc.

Stress may occur periodically.
