What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at Modani Furniture?
Modani Furniture is looking for a dispatcher in its Headquarters. We are seeking a well-organized, confident person for a Full Time dispatcher Position.
Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Answers calls from clients regarding delivery/pick up/shipping schedule
- Contacts clients that orders are ready for delivery and add them to schedule on a weekly basis
- Interfaces with scheduling and shipping regarding delivery/pickup/shipping dates as requested, enters appropriate data information from tickets, modifies schedule, prepare routes for following days of each delivery team
- Prepares CSV file with delivery scheduling and communicates with delivery partners and warehouses and/or upload in Dispatch track.
- Respect cut off times given.
- Prepares and coordinates with shipping department (of local warehouse) all paperwork needed for local deliveries and pickups and meeting the deadlines
- Calls delivery teams to ensure they are on schedule
- Organizes transfer of merchandise for showroom display (prepare lists, sends to warehouse for preparation, tracks the delivery)
- Communicates any important information from the warehouse to the store, and participates to monthly meeting with store manager to report any repetitive issue
- Verifies all order information for accuracy before entering into computer.
Requirements
