Accounts Payable Clerk

Overview

Come grow with us by joining our team as an Accounts Payable Clerk!  In this role, you will play a critical role for the company and will work alongside other professionals within the team and other departments. You will maintain and manage our accounts payable information. The position will maintain current accounts and assist in invoicing functions. Under the general supervision from the Accounting Manager and Controller, the AP Clerk is responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to Accounting Department personnel.

Responsibilities

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

• Review AP Invoices
• Apply payments
• Accurate Data entry into Accounting software
• Resolve past due invoices while working with vendors
• Perform Basic A/P, A/R reconciliation
• Follow 3-way Matching process
• Reconcile payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate
• Assist accounting department in month end reconciliation
• Filing
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum 1 of year experience in Accounts Payable
• Proper phone etiquette
• Basic mathematical principles
• Strong communication skills both orally and written
• High level of accuracy
• Knowledge of accounting Software – ability to learn software
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed in an office environment.
• Will be required to stand, sit, and move throughout office as needed.
• Must have the ability to reach the 2nd floor of building via stairway.
• May be required to use stairway multiple times during the day as necessary

Pay Range

Salary : $20 - $24
