What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Graphic Designer position at Modern Display Service Inc?
This is a full or part time position on the creative team for Modern Expo, Events, and Exhibits. We are a full service events company that specializes in corporate events, expos/tradeshows, and custom exhibit design. This job is perfect if you are just starting out a career in graphic design and want to work on a variety of print projects and some digital products.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree in graphic design or related field, and/or relative experience in graphic design.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign. Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier Pro, and Figma/Adobe XD are a plus.
- Applied understanding of the principles and elements of design, typography, positive/negative space, visual hierarchy, and layout design.
- Possess a keen eye for aesthetics and details.
- Must be able to accept and apply feedback and constructive criticism.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with other designers.
- Portfolio must be submitted to be considered for this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work under a senior designer to assist with in-house marketing needs such as websites, publications, sales tools, and marketing materials.
- Assist with creating graphics for events according to preferences of clients.
- Learn and apply the print production process to thoroughly produce printed graphics for both in-house materials and events.
- Collaborate with other designers to produce quality and cohesive work from Modern’s brand guidelines.
- Manage workflow; handling multiple projects at a time to meet deadlines.
MUST HAVE:
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite

- Experience with trade shows and events
- Experience with exhibit design
- Experience with wide format graphics
- Experience in AutoCAD
- Experience with 3D Software (Blender Preferred)
Salary : $33,000 - $52,000
