POSITION SUMMARY
Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is hiring a dynamic and experienced Weapons and Tactics (WEPTAC) Instructor to make a significant impact on the training and development of elite combat leaders, recovery specialists, and military freefall jumpmasters for the United States and its allies. As a WEPTAC Instructor, you'll deliver cutting-edge classroom and field training while working in diverse environments, including live-fire scenarios, maritime operations, and dynamic tactical settings. Your expertise will directly contribute to mission readiness and operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):

Deliver Comprehensive Instruction: Teach AFSPECWAR Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) including:
- Core Skills: Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), Troop Leading Procedures (TLPs), Small Unit Tactics (SMUT), and Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT).
- Advanced Tactics: Close Quarters Combat (CQC), designated marksman training, and tactical vehicle employment techniques.

Lead High-Impact Training Scenarios:
- Conduct instruction during live-fire operations on small arms, crew-served weapons, and demolitions.
- Train students on military aircraft operations (rotary and fixed-wing) and maritime scenarios using small boats and merchant vessels.
- Develop Cutting-Edge Course Materials: Assist in creating and updating syllabi and instructional materials, ensuring relevance to current operational needs.
- Provide Tactical Leadership: Serve as Drop Zone Control Officer, coordinating all aspects of tactical training, including ranges, facilities, aircraft, and equipment.

Support Diverse Operations:
- Conduct and instruct on advanced tactical training courses tailored to AFSPECWAR missions.
- Assist with support activities, including operating tactical vehicles, safety boats, and advanced rescue crafts.
- Provide mentorship and leadership during opposing force (OPFOR) scenarios, medical casualty drills (MASCAL), and safety swimmer training.
- Enhance Mission Success: Ensure accountability for all instructional materials, student performance evaluations, After Action Reports (AARs), and weekly Commanders Update Briefs (CUB).
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.

Experience:
- 5 years of experience in the SOF community within the last 20 years including Army Special Forces, MARSOC, Marine Recon, Army Ranger Regiment, Navy Special Warfare Operator, Pararescue Jumper, Combat Control Team, and SOF Tactical Air Control Party.
- 4 years of experience as a Weapons and Demolition expert with technical expertise in small arms, heavy weapons, demolitions, and Claymore anti-personnel mines.

Proven Expertise:
- Knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), Troop Leading Procedures (TLPs), and Close Quarters Combat (CQC).
- Experience in INDOPACOM or maritime environments, including participation in named exercises (e.g., Cobra Gold).
- Certification in at least two SOF specialties, such as SFARTAETC, United States Army Sniper Course, or equivalent.
- Instructional Background: Completion of a USAF Instructor Course or sister service equivalent in the last decade.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Military Instructor course certification.
- Military Freefall Jumpmaster certification.
- Additional SOF-related instructional certifications.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Carry up to 75 lbs of equipment for 4 hours.
- Lift 225 lbs from the floor to waist height.
- Work in demanding environments involving explosives, hazardous materials, and corrosive fuels.
