Role Overview Of Your Responsibilities
A leading healthcare system is seeking a Director of Medical Lab Science Education to lead an accredited laboratory education program. This is NOT a Lab Director role—it is an education-focused position overseeing the School of Medical Laboratory Science and Phlebotomy.
Key Responsibilities
✔️ Oversee curriculum development, accreditation compliance, and student education
✔️ Develop student learning activities, including lectures, assessments, and hands-on training
✔️ Maintain NAACLS accreditation for MLS and Phlebotomy programs
✔️ Supervise faculty, laboratory staff, and up to 10 students
✔️ Ensure regulatory compliance, quality standards, and continuous program improvements
✔️ Act as a liaison between students, faculty, and hospital leadership
What You Need To Succeed
✅ Master’s or Doctoral Degree Required
✅ Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in an MLS/Clinical Laboratory Science program
✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field
✅ ASCP-BOC or ASCPi-BOC Generalist Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist
✅ Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners Clinical Laboratory Scientist License Required
✅ Knowledge Of NAACLS Accreditation & Education Administration Preferred
