What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler / Injection Molding (3rd shift) position at Modern Molding Inc?
* Preparing Materials - use schedule as guide and pull material from inventory.
* Find material using a computer to locate, issue/pull (FIFO) first in first out method. Determine correct size of dryer as needed.
* Record keeping: all items are to be written down on Material Transaction log prior to being moved in the computer. Match up to work order and work order is to be placed with/on correct material, press or dryer.
* Inventory raw materials, dyes and inserts, a minimum of once per week or frequency stated by supervisor. Adjust as needed.
* Cleaning all types of grinders and placement of grinders at presses. Emptying of grinders through out shift.
* Cleaning all types of dryers and related items.
* Re-entering of unused materials, inserts and related items into inventory using the material transaction log and completing transaction in the computer to reflect correct amounts.
* Complete scheduled tasks set up by supervisor, including: Cycle counting, Motan maintenance and special tasks.
* Miscellaneous: Must be willing to fill in as needed upon request of supervisor.
The Material Handler must possess basic computer skills including the use of email, the ability to communicate effectively, and electronically basic math skills, and be mechanically inclined. Must be able to lift 55 pounds comfortably. Must be self motivated and accurate. Must work well under pressure and within set parameters
