Our Field Service Technicians are electro-mechanical experts who provide essential technical support to customers through installations, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Representing MPE on the front lines, they are customer-focused professionals who prioritize safety and service excellence. This role involves frequent travel across the U.S., with time at home when not on assignment. Ideal candidates should reside near a major airport, and preferably live in the Chicagoland area. Expect approximately 65% travel.
What You'll Do:
- Travel to customer locations to perform equipment installations, commissioning, and preventive maintenance.
- Provide hands-on training to customers on the operation and maintenance of MPE equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system issues, offering prompt resolutions.
- Communicate effectively with customers, promoting a professional and collaborative exchange of information.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including service trip reports and scheduling details.

What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
- A valid driver's license
- At least five years of work experience in a related role.
- Experience with processing equipment, preferably in the food processing industry.
- Flexibility to work variable schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment or process issues on customer sites.
- A willingness and ability to travel domestically and with some, more limited, travel in Canada and Mexico.
