Responsibilities
We’re seeking a highly motivated engineering student for an Engineering Intern position in our Huntsville, AL office. This individual will support a team of Flight Test and Analysis Engineers in the planning and execution of hypersonic flight tests. They will have the unique opportunity to gain valuable insight into the development of hypersonic technologies, learn about Flight Test Instrumentation, work with hypersonic technology and flight test experts from across the DoD and Industry, and be trained to operate a flight test mission on console.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning and execution of hypersonic flight tests, including mission development, planning, and coordination.
- Support data acquisition, processing, and analysis for test activities.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians on the development, integraiton, and troubleshooting of test systems and hardware.
- Contribute to technical documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Participate in engineering reviews and technical meetings.
- Perform research and analysis to support performance evaluations and technical assessments.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Engineering student with a focus in the aerospace, mechanical, or systems field
- GPA of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills
- Experience with MATLAB, Pyton, C and/or other programming languages
- Proficiency in MS Project
Clearance: Ability to obtain/maintain a US government security clearance.
