Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

We’re seeking a highly motivated undergraduate student with an interest in defense technology, politics, and public policy.  Candidates local to Alexandria VA strongly desired.

• Assist in developing legislative strategies to assist growth and competition of government contractors supporting the Department of Defense
• Research legislation, published studies and articles related to the defense industrial base and defense industrial policy
• Review Federal Election Commission rules and policies
• Research proposed legislation related to key defense technologies

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a undergraduate program in Business, Economics, Engineering, Science, Government Policy or related fields
• Excellent communication skills written and verbal
• Team player who can work independently and demonstrating initiative, ownership and problem solving skills

Desired Skills

• Understanding of the US political process and public administration
• Working skills in Microsoft office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Clearance Requirements:

• Ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.
• Please Note:  U.S. Citizenship is required for most MTSI positions.
