Surveyor Pace Bus System

Program Overview:

Modern Times, Inc. has partnered with Pace Bus System to conduct a study among riders. An

Pace onsite managers will be onsite for a majority of shifts and will be responsible for passing off/ all materials needed for each shift

Contractor Role Overview:

The Pace Field Surveyor will be responsible for engaging with riders while at key stations and riding key bus lines, through:

• Distributing/collection of paper surveys
• Communicating key providing talking points
• Promoting the raffle all riders who fill out a survey will be entered into
• Reporting on the number of interactions, denials, and surveys taken

All surveyors will be provided official uniforms and Pace employee badges to reinforce association with Pace bus system

Contractor Job Requirements:

• Available the entirety of the program (3/7-4/18)
• Must be available to work early morning shifts on multiple days each week
• Shifts can be up anywhere from 6-10 hours
• Shifts will take place on both weekday and weekend days
• Must be available to work at least 3 days/week
• Must be available to attend in-person training on March 7th
• Must be able to work at a majority of the work area locations (listed below)
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle (not public transportation) to go to different shift locations around the city
• Must be comfortable performing the job duties while on a moving bus
• Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and be willing to talk to strangers
• Prior experience in sales, customer service, or brand ambassador work is ideal

Work Area:

• Shifts will be located at the locations below depending on the schedule, with Surveyors riding busses that will start and return to same location.

Contract & Payment Details:

• Rates: $28 / hour
• Some Paid travel time based on locations and pre-approved by Program Manager
• Your Schedule can vary from 20-40 hours/week
• This is a 1099 independent contractor role. You will be responsible for handling your own taxes.
• Compensation will be paid semi-monthly with the pay period ending on the 15th and the end of the month. Paydays are seven days following the end of the pay period (the 7th and 22nd of each month). Payments are done by direct deposit only
• Contractors will not receive benefits, paid time off, or tax withholdings.
