SUMMARY
ModernControls is a leading provider of HVAC and building automation services for commercial facilities across Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey. With over 210 employees, and a fleet of 120 service vehicles, our team of experts install, maintain, and design Building Automation and HVAC systems designed to help facility managers control building environments and operating costs. We are actively seeking a BUSINESS ANALYST to join our growing company. As a Business Analyst, you will be instrumental in helping the business by running and maintaining various business processes and systems. This role is integral to ongoing financial reporting, forecasting, customer and company data management, developing new business insights and so much more.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other functions may be assigned:
- Experience with master data management, data quality or data governance
- Entering, maintaining, and guaranteeing the accuracy of our ERP master data
- Monitoring and analyzing master data quality metrics and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Provide training and support to uses regarding master data management practices and tools
- Extract and transform data from various sources and accounting systems to provide actionable insights
- Work with IT to ensure all tools are functional and take point in developing improved tools where needed
- Automating custom reports
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex master data management issues in an understandable way to different stakeholders

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
Bachelor/associate’s degree in MIS, Business Administration or related field
Demonstrated business and financial acumen with ability to collect and analyze data and communicate insights effectively
Experience preparing written reports and presentations to share key conclusions with data
Strong IT skills, including MS Office
A proactive approach to developing and enhancing systems and processes
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Problem solver that approaches challenges in a methodical way and with high attention to detail and accuracy
Familiar with ERP’s and other enterprise systems
Attention to detail in data entry
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and balance several customers/projects at a time
Thrive in a team environment
Experience with reporting platforms
Data visualization and report generation using SQL and Excel Pivots.
SQL techniques like Joins, Complex query, Common Table Expression
Exploratory data analysis
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
