We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to assist with maintaining our financial records. The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. The candidate should have experience with full cycle accounting and understand all the processes and documents necessary to produce financial statements for a reporting period. Other job duties include reconciling bank and credit card statements, tracking fixed assets, assisting with payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing, and preparing tax forms. The ideal candidate would have between 1-5 years of professional accounting experience and is proficient with Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.

•Manage vendor relations to ensure strong tie with strategic vendors
•Administer corporate credit accounts•Track expense report compliance

Primary Responsibilities:
•Create purchase orders as requested by field personnel in order to track expenses to properly to specific jobs.
•Track closing of purchase orders to ensure proper allocation and accurate pricing for all purchases.
•Enter invoices into Accounting System accurately and timely
•Review vendor payment terms to ensure timely payments
•Coordinate processing of ACH payments to appropriate vendors
•Print checks for signature and review by management; mail checks to vendors
•Administer and manage the Wex Fuel Account
•Administer and manage the Corpay Credit Card Account
•Complete month end Accounts Payables tasks
•Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
•Knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Excellent organizational, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
•Knowledge of general financial accounting and job cost accounting.
•Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
•Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
•Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
•Desire to continue professional growth through job development and training.
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, required.
•One to five years of Professional Accounting experience in a Corporate Setting, required.
•Experience in Construction accounting, preferred.
•Skilled knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Salary : $53,200 - $70,100
