What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Supervisor - Transportation Department position at Modesto City Schools?
Work experience necessary to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position; Completion of an apprenticeship as an automotive mechanic or forty-eight (48) months experience as a general automotive repairperson acquired through an accredited apprenticeship program; Three (3) years of supervisory experience in the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of mechanical equipment; High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) Certificate;Valid California Commercial Driver’s License – Class B with Air Brake Certificate; Valid medical examiner’s certificate issued in accordance with the Motor Carrier safety regulations of the Department of Motor Vehicles; Department of Transportation Power Industrial Truck Operator’s Permit to be obtained within the first sixty (60) days of employment; Must provide a DMV printout within five (5) workdays of offer of employment.
