What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Associate position at Modular Designs?
Job Summary
We are searching for an exceptional individual who is able to work independently in a fast paced environment. This position requires excellent administrative and computer skills. The work area is removed from the office, so self-direction and time management is required. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Receiving and Unloading incoming shipments of flooring material, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Damage and Discrepancy Reporting: Inspecting materials for damage or discrepancies and reporting any issues to the appropriate parties.
- Label and Storage: Labeling all incoming material for project as indicated and storing accordingly in the warehouse.
- Shipping Preparation: Preparing order for installer pick up; packaging, labeling, breaking down pallets, and organizing material as needed.
- Loading and Transportation: Loading and transporting materials within the warehouse and on to vehicles
- Documentation: Completing and maintaining accurate shipping and receiving documentation.
- Communication: Communicating with purchasing, Installation Managers, and other team members regarding shipments and inventory materials.
- Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate inventory records, updating stock levels, and ensuring proper storage of all materials.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Physical Strength and endurance: This is a physical job, ability to lift, carry, and move at least 65 lb. objects is required.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in inventory management and documentation is top priority.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain and manage a well-organized warehouse. Including shipping, receiving, and storage areas.
- Problem Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to shipments and inventory.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Teamwork: Ability and willingness to work effectively as part of a team.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations and procedures, specific to warehouse operations.
