About the Role
As a senior Sales & Key Account Executive, you will be responsible for acquiring high-profile clients and expanding sales within their existing client base. You will build and lead the organization to achieve continual growth ambitions. We expect you to be passionate about growing Modular Management’s business and delivering results. You will collaborate with thought leaders across the US, Japan, and Europe and senior executive advisors on the board of directors. Showcasing their proven outcomes, deep expertise in modularity and configurations from 30 years of client engagement, and cutting-edge Configuration Lifecycle Management SaaS solutions will be a key part of your role. By addressing real-world business challenges, you will enhance organizational capabilities and deliver tangible value to clients, making a significant impact. This position is based in Minneapolis, MN, and reports directly to America's President. Travel of up to 25% is expected, including the occasional visit to HQ in Stockholm, Sweden. Your responsibilities include:
- Create and Execute Sales Strategy: Collaborate with leadership, marketing, and your peers to develop a formal sales structure and processes to build the foundation for a growing, high-performing North American sales team
- Build Qualified Sales Pipelines: Identify and cultivate prospective clients, developing a robust sales pipeline
- Lead Discovery Process: Drive the discovery process to uncover customer needs and opportunities
- Drive Value-Based Sales: Focus on winning new, strategic key accounts using a value-based sales approach
- Create Customer Presentations: Develop and present tailored solutions to qualify use cases and advance the sales process
- Negotiate Contracts: Lead negotiations for commercial and legal contracts to close new deals
- Achieve Sales Objectives: Consistently meet and exceed sales targets
- Manage Key Accounts: Work with key stakeholders at client sites, from engineers to product management to C-suite, building long-lasting relationships with clients by understanding their needs and business objectives
- Stay Sharp: Acquire and maintain knowledge of the complete capabilities that Modular Management can offer clients
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with Knowledge management and software development teams to share customer insights and drive improvements in solution offerings
Qualifications & Skills
Your Education, Work Experience, Skills, Traits
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business administration, or a related field
- Min. 10 years' experience in value-based selling of strategic consulting and/or software solutions that serve engineering and industries such as PLM, CPQ, and ERP
- Experience working with industrial manufacturing companies
- Proven C-level sales and engagement management capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce
- High integrity, accuracy, and efficiency in business development tasks
- Analytical with an affinity for problem-solving, negotiating, and time management
- Creative—not afraid of trying and learning new things and taking initiative
