JOB SUMMARY:
The Facilities Manager position plays a vital role in organizations across industries, tasked with the crucial responsibility of ensuring all facilities are functioning optimally. This hands-on operational leader not only manages the upkeep of existing facilities but also plans for future developments, adhering to legal and environmental standards. The position involves significant interaction with various departments to ensure workplace safety, efficiency, and sustainability which are integral to organizational success. The Facilities Manager will oversee the work of the Maintenance team.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing and implementing facility management policies and procedures that ensure the efficient operation of all physical assets.
- Managing budgets, including the approval of maintenance expenses, capital expenditure projects, cost accounting, and manufacturing ROI.
- Experience using CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Directing facility upgrades or modifications, including the selection and management of contractors and negotiations with vendors.
- Leading, recruiting, and training the facilities management team to achieve departmental objectives effectively.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the need for repairs or renovations.
- Planning and directing facility central services such as reception, security, cleaning, waste disposal, and parking.
- Overseeing the management of facility-related emergencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Work Experience: 5 years in facility management or in a supervisory role within manufacturing, oil & gas, or construction
Education: While not required, a bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, business administration is preferred.
Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
