Job Summary : The Nutrition Services Assistant is responsible for food preparation, cooking, cashiering, paperwork, following retail food establishment / HACCP, requesting food items from the Nutrition Services Department, ordering / inventorying, putting away food orders, serving food, restocking lines, and clean-up after lunch. Attend trainings. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and district clientele
Salary : Classified Salary Schedule - Lunchroom Aide. Range is $17.68 - $27.40 per hour.
Education and / or Experience :
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Experience supervising children is preferred but not required.
Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations :
- Criminal background check required for hire.
- First Aid and CPR certifications in the school setting are preferred.
- Certification in Basic Food Sanitation required within 1 year of after hire.

Mathematical Skills : Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Reasoning Ability : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
