- The Quality Control Manager (QCM) oversees daily quality operations, ensuring adherence to construction standards, codes, and project specifications. This role requires leadership, collaboration, and technical expertise to implement quality policies and procedures, conduct inspections, and resolve issues efficiently. The QCM will guide project teams, ensure compliance with quality management plans, and foster a culture of excellence and risk prevention.
- Develop and oversee project-specific quality management plans.
- Collaborate with project teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and constructability reviews.
- Train and coach teams on quality risks and prevention measures.
- Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and contract documents.
- Implement and document the Three-Phase Inspection process.
- Chair preparatory and weekly QC meetings with stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, inspections, and non-conformance logs (NCR).
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience as a Quality Control Manager in construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction standards, best practices, and the International Building Code.
- Proficiency in Procore, Viewpoint, SharePoint, and MS Office.
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in Quality Management, Construction Management, or Engineering preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
