Your Impact

The facility manager oversees production, distribution, and industry compliance in a packaging and processing facility. In addition, the facility manager will ensure that actively growing plants are ready to transfer to the MCC1 Reagan facility from the MCC1 Courtney Place cultivation facility. The facility manager oversees the plant status. They will communicate if a replacement plant is required.

What You'll Do (Personnel Duties, Authority, and Responsibilities)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other responsibilities and projects may be assigned for the overall benefit of the organization.

• The manager is responsible for the entire flow of materials, from plant transfer to final product distribution, ensuring compliance with all industry regulations.
• This includes managing manifests, test results, reporting, recalls, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• The manager oversees the health and readiness of plants for transfer from the cultivation facility to the processing facility.
• They are responsible for communicating with the cultivation team about plant replacement needs.
• Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
• Coordinate with other departments regarding compliance, reporting, and policy adherence.
• Maintain and record product data for tracking purposes.
• Ensure complete compliance with labeling, forms, and packaging requirements.
• Monitor production processes for quality and efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve quality issues promptly.
• Generate daily and weekly reports.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
• Recruit, hire, and train packaging and processing staff.
• Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback and coaching.
• Provide leadership and guidance to team members.
• Developing and leading team meetings.
• Oversee the operation of packaging and processing equipment, including maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Work with leadership to create and drive a high-performing culture.
• Champion continuous improvement.
• Build processes and procedures to ensure clear expectations and adequate training.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement strategies to improve profitability.
• Implement inventory control systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Seek out information to understand and address root causes and drive effective decision-making.
• Comply with all company policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to acquire and maintain a Facility Agent Card through the State.
• Comprehensive knowledge and passion about the Cannabis Industry.
• Maintains a professional attitude and demeanor.
• Demonstrates unimpeachable integrity and accountability.
• Previous experience working in management is required.
• Strong computer skills, ideally with experience using Windows-based PC programs.
• Experience using Dutchie, LeafLogix, and LeafLink systems is preferred.
• Ability to work with hands at high/fact-pace volume.
• Good understanding of packaging components and associated commodities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of proper safety standards.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, with awareness of deadlines.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
