What are the responsibilities and job description for the Performance Improvement Specialist II position at Mohave Mental Health Clinic, Inc.?
PRINCIPLE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist in the development and implementation of the Performance Improvement/Quality Management processes including, performance improvement initiatives, utilization management, and Joint Commission and other regulatory agency requirements.
2. Facilitate the routine collection, trending, analysis and display of Quality oriented data.
3. Generate accurate, timely, thorough, and comprehensive data trending reports with support graphics as indicated.
4. Assist in the review, analysis, and follow-up, of external requests from health plans.
5. Facilitate project/review groups, as assigned.
6. Provides customer service to internal and external customers and stakeholders.
7. Provide training to staff as indicated.
8. Research issues related to core duties and provides a comprehensive analysis as indicated.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
PRIMARY CONTACTS:
- Occasional interaction with Quality Management Team
- Frequent interaction with Mohave Mental Health Clinic, Inc. (MMHC) staff
- Minimum of weekly interaction with supervisor
- Occasional contact with clients and /or client families
- Occasional contact with regulatory bodies, as assigned.
- Occasional contact with RBHA or health plans, as assigned.
POSITION REQUISITES:
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of clinical or quality experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Training in Quality Management principles and practices
- 21 years of age or over
- Possess valid driver's license
- Insurance clearance to drive Clinic vehicles
Preferred:
- Background in statistics
- Experience in Quality Management, Billing coding, Risk Management, or Corporate Compliance Experience with CQI tools
- Experience with analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data
- Experience in the use of statistical analysis display tools
