Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Food Service Supervisor, this position promotes meal assistance to patients and residents on a daily basis.
The Food Service Worker II will assist with meal selections, in the assembly and delivery of meals and food products for hospital patients, residents and visitors.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain safe food handling using clean as you go procedures
- Assist patients with any needs related to their tray, such as opening product
- Accurately serve patient's meals in accordance with their diet prescription
- Communicate patient's concerns with the clinical dietitian
- Stock unit kitchens
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred. High school students are accepted.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with kitchen hazards such as sharp utensils and cutting machines, hot items, and chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varied stress levels due to workload pressure.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- No specific licensure or certification is required for this role.
Work Environment:
- Requires prolonged standing, walking, or other constant physical movements on a routine basis.

Pay Information:
- $16 - $21 per hour.
