Job Description
The Mohawk Valley Health System is seeking a skilled Medical Professional to join its Radiation Medicine team. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for promoting and restoring patient health through assessment, planning, and evaluation of quality care.
You will work closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide emotional support, educate patients and families about their health, and manage nursing practices and equipment. A strong emphasis is placed on ensuring adherence to standards and promoting a safe and clean environment.
Key responsibilities include identifying patient care requirements, establishing personal rapport with patients and families, and understanding the plan of care throughout the patient's experience. You will also promote patient independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching patients and families to understand disease processes, medications, and self-care skills, and providing time to answer questions.
