Table Games Dealer

Position: Table Game Dealer

Hourly: $11.00 per hour tips & Shift/Weekend Differential, if applicable

Location: Gaming Division

Reports to: Table Games Pit Boss

FLEX POSITION WITH VARIOUS HOURS/SHIFTS

Responsibilities:

• Deal various table games (e.g., blackjack, roulette) accurately and efficiently, adhering to house procedures and gaming regulations.
• Maintain the highest standards of customer service in accordance with North Star Mohican Casino Resort policies.
• Compute and pay winning bets quickly and accurately, ensuring a smooth gaming experience.
• Foster a collaborative working relationship with colleagues and management.
• Adhere to all departmental attendance and punctuality standards.
• Wear the approved departmental uniform and maintain a professional appearance.
• Comply with the Casino’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.
• Follow all established rules, regulations, and policies of the casino and the Table Games Department.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Other duties as assigned, which may evolve based on organizational needs.

Qualifications & Education:

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred, but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Mohican Nation Gaming License.
• Submit to a Criminal Investigation Background Check (CIB) and pre-employment drug screening.
• Flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Previous experience dealing table games preferred (minimum six months).
• Proficient in multiple games (e.g., blackjack, roulette) with the ability to train on additional games.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to perform intermediate math calculations.
• Commitment to self-development and adaptability to change.
• Must meet physical requirements of the role, including standing for extended periods.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

• Constant hand movements and ability to stand for extended periods.
• Constant hand movements (repetitive motions: reaching, grasping, holding, use of finger dexterity and the ability to constantly shuffle cards). Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to stand in one area for an extended amount of time.
• Ability to look in a downward direction for extended periods of time.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus, with the aid of prescription glasses/contacts, if needed; with the ability to read card and chip numbers.
• Work is generally performed in a casino setting with a higher noise level.
• The work environment is non-smoking and dust-free; and noise levels may vary depending on location and work area.
