**Job Summary**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Human Resources department.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Payroll Administration: Accurately process semi-monthly payroll, ensuring all employee hours, overtime, and deductions are correctly recorded and compliant with state and federal regulations.
  • Employee Onboarding: Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including the completion and verification of I-9 forms, collection of necessary documentation, and conducting orientation sessions to familiarize new employees with company policies and procedures.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS, ensuring all information is current and accurate. Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Benefits Administration: Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance. Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Employee Relations: Provide support in addressing employee concerns and questions, fostering a positive work environment. Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and recognition programs.
  • General Administrative Support: Assist with day-to-day HR operations, including scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, and other administrative tasks as assigned.

**Qualifications:**

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a human resources role, with a focus on payroll and compliance.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, particularly regarding payroll and I-9 compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
