Position Title: Facilities Systems and Maintenance Specialist
Reports To: Executive Director
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This person in this role is responsible for management of special programs to meet district, state and federal regulatory requirements such as asbestos, hazmat chemicals, water quality, and safety programs. This person will also be responsible for general maintenance and cleaning as detailed below.
General Responsibilities
Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance
Clean interior of the building, as well as machinery and equipment, and exterior of the building
Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to supervisor
Manage and prioritize work orders
Comply with all safety and health regulations
Supervise custodial staff
Create and maintain cleaning schedule including breaks and summer
Keep inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and equipment, and report needs to supervisor
Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues
Work with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors, including obtaining bids for facilities projects
Provide general grounds maintenance and upkeep
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in facility and grounds maintenance
Have or willingness to obtain required training and certification to effectively manage asbestos, hazmat chemicals, water quality, and safety programs
