What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Person 1st Shift position at Molded Dimensions Group?
10 hour shift with Fridays off!
Molded Dimensions Group, with a location in Marshfield, manufactures polyurethane mechanical components used in a variety of industries from heavy machines to small engines, marine, waste management, automotive, medical food processing, construction and mining.
We are currently looking for a highly organized working Lead person to oversee our Machine Casting department on 1st shift. The successful candidate will be a proven leader with good decision making, have strong interpersonal skills with mechanical aptitude. Experience in supervision and leading in a manufacturing setting required.
1st shift hours: 5AM – 3PM Monday - Thursday
What you will do:
Overseas the department team members on 1st shift. May operate equipment on the shift, as well as be a self-motivated problem solver who will maintain a positive working relationship with other team members. Qualified candidates should have a good understanding of business practices, leadership/supervisory skills, and excellent attendance. As the go-to operator, you will perform periodic inspection of product produced and monitor production levels and address any concerns from other operators in the department.
Essential job duties:
- Lead the Machine Casting department
- Be the hub of communication for department and directly support all operations within the dept.
- Must uphold company policies, direct all resources within the department, request repairs, document and recommend improvements.
- Adhere to production schedule and all production deadlines. Assist on production line as needed.
- Troubleshoot reliability and quality issues as needed
- Enforce and adhere to all safety requirements within the facility
- Strive to generate quality production
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager
Preferred Experience:
- Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Candidates must be able to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, process sheets, policies and procedures and safety rules.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds
- Working knowledge of shop mathematics and ability to accurately use measurement tools and equipment is necessary.
- Self-motivated, problem solver who will maintain a positive working relationship with team members.
