In the role of Toolroom Machinist working in Golden, CO, you will resurface tooling, read drawings and fabricate machine parts for the production lines. In this role, you will operate CNC mills, lathes and surface grinders. The Toolroom Machinist will reverse engineer production parts, complete drawings and fabricate these parts.
This position reports to the Equipment Specialist Maintenance Lead.

In the role of Toolroom Machinist working in Golden, CO, you will resurface tooling, read drawings and fabricate machine parts for the production lines. In this role, you will operate CNC mills, lathes and surface grinders. The Toolroom Machinist will reverse engineer production parts, complete drawings and fabricate these parts.
This position reports to the Equipment Specialist Maintenance Lead.
The Responsibilities:
- Operating, maintaining and troubleshooting machine tool room equipment
- Manufacturing custom machine components
- Surfacing and resurfacing tooling used to manufacture two-piece aluminum beverage container
- Setting-up and operating machines to close tolerance dimensions with CNC mills, lathes and surface grinders
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-5 years of machine tool operational experience. 1-3 years of manufacturing maintenance and troubleshooting experience. 1-3 years’ experience tool manufacturing experience.
- Ability to use hand tools and machine tools properly and safely.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of CNC mills, lathes and surface grinders.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Fanuc controls.
- Tool and component manufacturing with minimal quality defects.
- Experience with troubleshooting, safe operating procedures, and machine set-up
- Ability to use Precision measuring instruments
