The Headlines:
Golden Brewery is seeking a Fermenting Senior Specialist. Senior Specialists are hourly employees and help safely lead and support the team and the day-to-day operation to achieve goals/initiatives. This will include working with other departments including but not exclusive to safety, quality, scheduling, engineering, and our up/downstream customers.
The Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated understanding of flow dynamics, volume control in a closed system or experience in a food/beverage plant or other production environment
- Ability to follow all work procedures and instructions
- Must be familiar and/or comply with OSHA, FDA, NFPA70 standards and/or have an excellent safety record
- Must have the ability to regularly lift / push over 50lbs.
- Must be able to use Microsoft office applications and have capability to learn several different computer applications
- Ability to troubleshoot production upsets and issues through the problem-solving activities in a team environment (5 Why, DMAIC, Fishbone, etc.)
- Able to work in a team environment
- GMP and sterile fill manufacturing knowledge
- Demonstrate some level of mechanical aptitude (oil changes, valve repair, etc.)
- Contributes to work place by performing all tasks in accordance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, GMP, lock out/Tag Out/Try Out safety rules, codes, policies, and regulations and Confined Entry policies
- Works in a team environment, helps facilitate problem solving, and must be able to make responsible decisions and demonstrate time management skills regarding the task(s) with minimum supervision
- Must be familiar with World Class Manufacturing and its philosophies
- Must understand best practices of EH&S, 5S, Focused Improvement, Visual Performance Measures, Operator Based Maintenance, and Team Work
- Must ensure that all safety precautions at all times
The Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED (higher education or brewing process knowledge is preferred)
- Demonstrates the ability to adhere and keep to the delivery schedule and deliver the right product at the right time and volume as established by the schedule
