Coors Distributing Company (CDC) is one of the nation’s leading beer distributors based out of Denver, CO. The Headlines:
In the role of Pricing Manager working in Denver, CO you will be part of the Finance team. This person will be responsible for providing financial, tactical, and strategic pricing guidance to CDC through structured analysis and review for all brands, packages and services. This includes the financial planning and monthly cause of change by supplier margin results, review of proposed promotional deals, new product setup and liaison with all suppliers to ensure CDC pricing strategy in the market and drive increased Gross Profit.
This position reports to the Controller and works closely with the Finance Pricing, Purchasing, and Sales Support groups, and external suppliers.
The Responsibilities:
- Directs and oversees all aspects of pricing by ensuring CDC goals of: competitive market pricing, profitability, market share growth, and customer satisfaction are achieved via accurate system pricing
- Responsible for all people-management related processes for Pricing Analysts including: staffing, performance management and discipline, communications/team meetings, etc.
- Ensures accuracy of front-line prices, discounts, FOB rates, and supplier rebates by brand and package within VIP and to the General Ledger; Gross Sales of $308M, discounts of $32M, and rebates of $16M
- Develops proposals for GPI for up to 30 suppliers and communicates with Suppliers and Sales Team for timely input and execution of agreed GPI; Executes and then analyses GPI to confirm projected margin gain
- Conducts monthly review of rebate claims booked vs. credits received procedure by supplier to ensure accurate and timely completion of account reconciliations, including follow up on outstanding issues noted on log report
- Leads approval process for pricing and promotional deals. Ensures pricing and promotional deals are correctly set up with suppliers for their participation and that all information matches monthly pricing packet and is uploaded to handhelds for consistent retail selling
- Work with Sales Dept. to document, review, and gain approval of new promotional pricing. Which needs immediate attention to maintain marketplace competitiveness
- Performs monthly margin & mix analysis in support of financial results distribution. Create period close JE for allowance receivable and review JE submission from Pricing Specialist prior to upload to GL for approx. $1.33M per month; ensure timely follow up for any supplier discrepancies to amounts booked

The Other Qualifications:
- You have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; required
- You have a minimum 5-10 years of experience in Pricing Department or Accounting with an emphasis on margin analysis; experience in the wholesale beverage industry, preferred
- You have excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to communicate professionally with all levels of the organization
- You are detail oriented with a focus on accuracy
- You have strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced environment

Job Posting Salary Range: $81,000 - $116,500
