JOB SUMMARY: Momentum Behavior Services (MBS) provides high-quality, evidence-based services to children, adolescents, and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). MBS is looking for an HR Generalist to undertake a wide range of HR tasks, like organizing trainings, assisting in the administration of employee benefits and leaves and providing support for policies. HR Generalist will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. You will provide support to the Minnesota Momentum team (Rochester, MN and Surrounding Cities). The person best suited for this role will be enthusiastic, empathetic, and detail oriented.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation in the Rippling system or Google Files.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records in Rippling to ensure that all required documents are collected and stored appropriately.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include, but is not limited to, safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Assists in implementation of new hire orientation and onboarding programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- May attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
- As the primary contact for HR in Minnesota, serves as a resource for employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refer more complex questions to the HR Director.
- Conducts employee onboarding/offboarding, orientation and training programs.
- Other tasks, as assigned
HOURS OF WORK: Full-time

LICENSES, CERTIFICATION AND REGISTRATION, EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration or Human Resources Management preferred. PHR or SPHR certification a plus
EXPERIENCE
5 years HR generalist experience, HR experience in healthcare highly preferred. Experience with Minnesota employment law required. Experience with HRIS and familiarity with payroll systems preferred.
Experience working with HRIS platforms such as Rippling, Isolved, Bamboo, Paychex.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills- including the ability to resolve disputes and observe confidentiality. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet short deadlines. Ability to think creatively and problem solve.
JOB KNOWLEDGE (Specific)
Knowledge of federal/state labor law (Minnesota). Preferred awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance required, Understanding of personnel and compliance records management as according to HIPAA.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB
This role is a hybrid position in Rochester, MN with a presence in our Rochester, MN office and availability to travel to the nearby office locations if necessary.
