Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of all maintenance activities within the facility. This position is responsible for supervising maintenance staff, managing maintenance projects, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintenance management, as well as proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of equipment and facilities.
- Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Utilize CMMS to track work orders, schedule maintenance tasks, and maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas needing repair or improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments on project management initiatives related to facility upgrades or modifications.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, including low voltage systems, and provide solutions for repairs or improvements.
- Read and interpret schematics to assist in the fabrication and installation of new equipment or systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a maintenance environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical systems, including low voltage applications.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and documentation.
