What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Office Receptionist - Part-Time position at Momentum Physical Therapy?
Momentum Physical Therapy is a physical therapist-owned outpatient office located in Wilkes Barre, PA. We are looking for an energetic individual to join our team in a part-time capacity to assist patients in the evenings with scheduling, collecting account balances, verifying insurance benefits and obtaining authorizations. The ideal candidate must enjoy interacting with and helping patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Answer telephone and assist new and existing patients with scheduling or rescheduling of appointments.
- Assist patients with check-in and check-out, including collecting patient balances and scheduling future appointments.
- Ensure patients are welcomed and assisted in an efficient and professional manner.
- Provide support to Clinic Director and other physical therapists to ensure they are able to focus on patient care, including laundry and general office organization and cleanliness.
- Relay any patient concerns to the physical therapist and Clinic Director in a prompt manner.
- Perform insurance verifications, referrals and authorizations as needed.
Direct Supervisor: Clinic Director
Required Skills:
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Proficient in a variety of Office Software products (MS Office and Excel preferred) and EMR software.
Job Type: Part-Time Evenings 3 pm - 7 pm (Monday-Thursday), Additional coverage hours likely.
