Our client - a mid-sized litigation firm in Houston - is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate, ideally with 4 years’ experience to handle a broad range of insurance defense-related cases. This position involves all aspects of litigation; including drafting and responding to motions; conducting depositions; discovery; attending court appearances; mediations; arbitrations; trial preparation; and trial.
The qualifications for the position include:
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Texas.
- No less than 4 years of insurance defense experience.
- Must be able to draft pleadings, various motions, discovery, and correspondence.
- Ability to take depositions.
- Communicate with clients, outside counsel, and the courts.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
