Cybersecurity Analyst (SME)
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst (SME) to support our team in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring computer networks for security issues, installing security software, and documenting any security issues or breaches you find.
In this role, you will:
- Monitor networks to detect and respond to security incidents.
- Install, configure, and manage cybersecurity tools and software, including Splunk Enterprise Security.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and report findings.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to implement security controls.
- Develop incident response strategies and participate in security exercises.
If you're suitable for this role, you have:
- 10 years of experience in cybersecurity.
- Proficiency in Splunk Enterprise Security.
- Familiarity with security monitoring tools and frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel.
- GIAC Continuous Monitoring Certfication (GMON), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Certfied Forensic Analyst (GCFA), GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA), GIAC Cloud Threat Detection (GCTD), GIAC Cloud Forensics Responder (GCFR)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Understanding of NIST NICE Work Roles: Defensive Cybersecurity, Incident Response, Cyber Threat Intelligence, and Cyber Investigation.
