The Server Assistant is skilled, organized and energetic about assisting the FOH team in executing a smooth service. This position is essential in providing an above and beyond experience to all guests.

Responsibilities
- Adhere to all company service standards and protocols
- Provide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service at all times
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of menu items including major components, allergens, unfamiliar ingredients, & appropriate utensils for service
- Quickly and correctly transport food from the kitchen to the guest
- Understand and execute food safety and allergies protocols
- Assist service team with ongoing table and floor maintenance, including water service, clearing and cleaning tables, resetting tables, polishing, restocking service tools, etc.
- Respond appropriately to guest requests, communicating requests to server as needed
- Communicate respectfully with chefs (and kitchen team) as necessary
- Assist expeditor by communicating necessary dining room information
- Assist servers and bartenders by communicating 86s, menu changes, and other food related information
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of service tools and service areas
- Support team members in the completion of their duties to ensure satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after service
- Engage management for any guest issue or complaint
- Adhere to grooming and dress code standards
Skills & Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of restaurant experience in a high volume environment
- Strong food knowledge preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must possess exceptional work ethic, strong attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
- Receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback
- Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment
Physical Demands
- The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
