Job Summary
The Guest Services Coordinator welcomes all patients, employees and guests to Mon Health Medical Center. The Guest Services Coordinator is often the first person encountered at MHMC and sets the stage and tone for patient care and safety. This position helps transition patients into their stream of care by providing warm greetings, general information, wayfinding assistance and wheelchair services, with exceptional customer service.
The Guest Services Coordinator will oversee all of the Guest Services personnel which will include Concierge services as well as the Operators. The Guest Services Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that the front desk and operator area are appropriately staffed. The Guest Services Ambassador will also provide oversight to the Caring Cottages located on the Mon Health Medical Center campus.Responsibilities
· Promote a positive patient/family experience throughout the care continuum.
- Build relationships with patients, families and staff to create an environment where optimum patient experience can positive patient satisfaction.
- Providing customer services training, coaching, medication/issue resolution, project support, service data entry and analysis for optimal quality and communication.
- Responding to family and visitor concerns.
- Provides oversight of the Concierge and Operator staff, including, but not limited to scheduling, coaching, and issuing discipline if needed.
- Serves as primary point of contact for Caring Cottages.
- Facilitates reservations from care management or other sources to schedule reservations for stays at the Caring Cottages.
- Manages all Caring Cottage reservations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Previous customer service experience.
· Experience in managing staffing.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline preferred.
