Accountant| Temporary position $29.50 - $30.50/hr. DOE | On-Site West Chester, PA

Our Chester County client is offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis. This role, expected to last approximately three months, is perfect for a professional eager to contribute their expertise and make an impact in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

A day in the life of an Accountant

• Reconcile bank accounts.
• Process tax payments.
• Balance lock box and research problems.
• Provide PeopleSoft support and test new procedures.
• Prepare reports for the Controller’s office.
• Prepare tax report.
• Assist in strengthening internal controls.
• Request stop payments from the bank.
• Assist Account Clerks with reconciliation problems.
• Computer support.
• Assist with hotel audits and processing Hotel tax payments
• Perform other duties, tasks or special projects, as required (e.g., account reconciliations, account closings, financial statements, and other general functions, Hotel, dog & hunt).

Requirements for the Accountant position

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of experience as an accountant.
• Experience with bank reconciliations is highly desired
• Intermediate accounting knowledge and skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of budgets, spreadsheets and interpreting audits.
• Ability to maintain confidential information and handle confidential matters.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Accurate and detail-oriented.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

• Auditing experience.
• Investigative accounting experience.
• On-line banking experience.
