A day in the life of the Accounting/Office Clerk
- Administrative duties to support accounting department, clearing checks and spreadsheet tracking
- Manage incoming calls and support staff with clerical duties
- Organize files and respond to electronic correspondence
- Open, sort, scan and distribute mail as well as run mail through postage machine
- Clerical duties of making copies, running office machinery including the stuffing and postage machine
- Data entry – tracking forms on log in Excel
Requirements for the Accounting/Office Clerk
- Experience in an accounting support role preferred
- Must have excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Experience working in an office environment
- Ability to send/receive/respond to emails
- Initiative, drive, and ability to problem solve is required
