Monday Night Brewing is an award-winning craft brewery based out of Atlanta, with a distribution footprint across Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and North Carolina. We currently operate two taprooms in Atlanta, GA, a brewpub in Birmingham, AL, a full-service taproom in Nashville, TN, a taproom in Charlotte, NC, and a taproom in Knoxville, TN. Monday Night Garage (Atlanta, GA) is seeking a part-time Bar Back/Expo to join our tight knit, growing team in our pizza kitchen. High-level Goals:

• Ensuring customers receive an excellent experience
• Successful completion of opening and closing taproom checklists
• Directing coworkers during shifts on task completion, customer experience, cleanliness, beer releases, and other duties as needed
• Understanding and abiding by federal and state alcohol regulations

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for daily opening and/or closing tasks of taproom:
  • Upholding all sanitization, safety and cleanliness protocols including regular surface wipe downs, restroom cleaning, capacity checking, glassware sanitation and more as set by Leadership
  • Ensure bars are stocked with clean glassware, supplies and fresh beer
  • Ensure merchandise is stocked and displayed correctly
  • Ensure all aspects of the taproom and additional bars (High Proof, Market, and Scruff) are clean and tidy including seating areas, restrooms, bar areas, patios, parking lot etc; pre-opening and through-out the shift, and end of day
  • Follow guidelines to ensure quality of the taproom experience including music selection and volume, video display, games, etc.
  • Work closely with General Manager and complete any tasks needed
• Ensure guests have an excellent customer experience
• Cultivate positive work experiences for coworkers by carrying an attitude of adaptability and team-playerness
• Responsible for in-person training for newly hired bartenders when assigned by General Manager
• ServSafe alcohol certification
• Carry out regular bartender tasks as well, including:
• Serve guests beer, wine and crafted cocktails, as well as selling brewery merchandise, and packaged beer.
• Execute on all aspects of the cocktail program including accurately pouring to order cocktails, batching cocktails, preparing garnishes, serving guests cocktails through a draft system, adding correct garnishes, etc.
• Use a Point-of-Sale System to ring up credit transactions, as well as managing open bar tabs.
• Politely but firmly enforce tasting room and brewery rules and regulations.
• Ensure that the tasting room and grounds, including the parking lot, and restrooms are thoroughly cleaned and prepped before and after each shift.
• Work closely with the Management, helping wherever needed.
• Work closely with Management if serving as bartender at private events, helping wherever needed.
• Bartend when the taproom is open to the public.
• Provide excellent customer experience to create brand loyalty and grow the business.
• Cultivate positive work environments for coworkers by being an adaptable team-player.
• Work 3-4 weekends per month.
• Support larger public events throughout the year such as Anniversary, Carve in the Courtyard, Winter event etc. with staging, bartending, and breakdown.
• Support private events as scheduled.
• Perform all opening and closing tasks listed in SOP’s.
• Carry all duties with commitment to the Easy E’s (Excellence, Engagement, Education, Environment, Everyone)
• Other duties as assigned

Compensation:

$5.00/hourly tip share

MNB Guarantee - Monday Night Brewing will guarantee a minimum $15/hourly for all tipped employees when tips do not reach $15/hourly over the course of one week.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to climb, lift, reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift at least 20 pounds
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours in hot, wet, humid and loud environments. This position is extremely physical and demanding in nature and involves working with potentially dangerous equipment, machinery, exposure to high noise levels, and handling of hazardous materials
• Uses repetitive motions
• Can work in both hot and cold temperatures

Qualifications:

• Must be 18
• Dynamic, action-oriented team player that is self-motivated and confident in making independent decisions

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
