Job Description:Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with a strong background in data testing, automation, and leadership. This role will focus on collaborating with business and technical teams to design, implement, and execute automated tests for data processes using modern technologies. You will lead a growing team of QA engineers and be an integral part of transforming the future of our product offerings.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business and technical leaders to define test plans, strategies, and automation opportunities.
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing feedback and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Design and implement data quality strategies and automation frameworks for data testing (ETLs, data migrations, conversions).
- Write and maintain test automation code using Python and modern Python frameworks.
- Work with large datasets, ensuring data quality without relying on visual interfaces.
- Continuously improve CI/CD pipelines to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
- Manage multiple competing priorities, ensuring successful delivery of high-quality products.
- Identify root causes of issues and communicate solutions effectively to stakeholders.
Must-Haves:
- Minimum 5 years of Quality Assurance experience.
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience, with expertise in data testing, SQL, and No-SQL databases.
- Strong coding skills in Python (including frameworks like PySpark, PyTest, Pandas).
- Experience in designing and building reusable test automation solutions.
- Proven leadership experience (minimum 2 years) leading QA engineers or technical resources.
- Strong knowledge of testing techniques, tools, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large data sets and implement data testing automation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Quality Assurance certification (e.g., ASQ).
- Experience with modern technology stacks, such as Kubernetes, AWS, microservices, and APIs.
- Additional programming languages (C#, TypeScript, JavaScript).
- Experience with testing tools research and due diligence.
