Job Title: Engineer (Broadcast / Production)
Location-Type: Onsite - Stamford , CT
Start Date Is: 2 weeks from offer
Duration: 6- month contract, potential for extension
Compensation Range: $50-$64/hr
Role Overview:
Client is seeking a skilled Broadcast/Production Engineer to support technical systems and infrastructure for live sports programming. This hands-on role will troubleshoot, maintain, and implement broadcast systems across multiple studios and control rooms.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Support live on-air studio/control room operations and troubleshoot equipment.
- Perform system-level diagnostics and preventative maintenance.
- Install/update software and hardware for studio technology.
- Collaborate on technical system design, integration, and commissioning.
- Provide rotating support coverage for 24x7 broadcast production schedules.
Must-Haves:
- 3–5 years of broadcast engineering experience in live production or similar.
- Strong knowledge of production systems (audio consoles, intercom, video switchers, servers).
- Experience with Sony, EVS, Evertz, Grass Valley, RTS, and Calrec equipment.
- Ability to read system diagrams and troubleshoot complex workflows.
- Excellent communication and calm under pressure during live broadcasts.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with SMPTE 2110, 1080P, and 4K HDR workflows.
- Knowledge of Avid Media Composer and Interplay, Chyron, AutoCAD.
- Experience with server installation and wireless comms systems.
- Project management or system integration background.
