About the Role:
The Production/Broadcast Engineer will be responsible for providing front-line broadcast engineering and technical support across multiple studios and control rooms. The role involves supporting all broadcast systems and technology for live day-of-air programs, troubleshooting hardware and systems, complying with computer security policies, and managing projects that include system design, integration and commissioning. This role’s primary location is the studio located in Stamford, CT with as needed visits to Yankee Stadium and Barclays Center.
Responsibilities Include:
- Install, configure, and maintain broadcast infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with live production workflows.
- Implement and manage SMPTE 2110 and PTP standards across all broadcast systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on studio and control room equipment.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to implement technical solutions that meet production initiatives.
- Monitor system performance, conduct regular maintenance, and apply updates to ensure high availability and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IP-based audio/video transport, network configurations, and timing synchronization.
- Reintegrate and standardize existing infrastructure.
- Manage projects, assist in system design, and assist with system integration and commissioning.
- Provide technical support during live productions.
- Train operational staff on best practices for using SMPTE 2110 systems and networked media environments.
Ideal Candidate:
- 3 years’ experience in a television broadcast environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in television engineering or relevant related field.
- Strong knowledge of SMPTE 2110 (ST 2110-10, ST 2110-20, ST 2110-30, ST 2110-40, ST 2110-21), PTP and related network architectures.
- Hands-on experience with broadcast IP networking, TCP-IP, VLANs, QoS, IGMP, and multicast configurations.
- Familiarity with NMOS IS-04/IS-05, SDN-based routing, and network security principles.
- Experience with broadcast control systems, playout servers, video processing equipment, and intercom systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot video and audio issues over IP networks utilizing Wireshark or other packet analyzers.
- Ability to read, interpret and design system signal flow diagrams for television control room and studio facilities.
- Knowledge of virtualized/cloud-based broadcast environments.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud-based broadcast solutions.
- Self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness and ability to learn new production technologies.

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
