Role Overview:
The Software Implementation Project Manager will lead the full lifecycle of software implementation projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery. The role requires coordinating with internal teams, third-party vendors, and clients to facilitate seamless execution and client satisfaction.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Management:
- Lead the software implementation lifecycle from initiation to completion.
- Develop project plans, manage timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Serve as the primary contact between internal teams and third-party vendors.
- Facilitate collaboration with product development, QA, and support teams.
- Manage and resolve issues to maintain project momentum.
- Client Engagement and Support:
- Work closely with clients to gather requirements and align expectations.
- Conduct regular meetings to update stakeholders on project status.
- Ensure high client satisfaction through quality delivery.
- Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify potential risks and create mitigation strategies.
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior leadership.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and status reports.
- Ensure smooth handoff to the client's support team during post-implementation.
Must-Haves:
- Experience:
- Minimum 7-10 years as a Project Manager or similar role in software implementation or IT consulting.
- Experience managing both cloud-based and on-premise software solutions.
- Proven experience working with 3rd party software companies.
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint for weekly updates.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Skills:
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications (preferred):
- PMP, Agile/Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP).
- Experience with Agiloft is a plus.
